Henryk Sienkiewicz
(mwahaha you'll never say it correctly!
)
(Viper: Isn't it pronounced chenriuk shenkewvyits?)
EDIT: Well, not quite, but they would probably know who you are talking about. I think. It's more like Henrick Shienkievich, with "ch" pronounced as in "chair".
(Viper: But the man is Polish, and Henryk is Chenrik, but with a kind of IU ish ik..also kittens)
EDIT2: I'm just not sure how you would pronounce this "Chenrik". It's H like in "Henry" - it's basically the same name, but in different language. Germans have their "Heinrich" or something like that... nevermind
Oh and the "K" in the end is a hard sound. No "IU" here.
(Viper: Well, I know a Henryk, he's Polish, and that's how his parents pronounce it. Maybe it can be pronounced two ways, or his parents are insane, lol...which they kind of are)
EDIT3: Pronounciation of many words may vary between regions, and even between cities and countryside, so it might be possible, even though I've never met anyone pronouncing this name "Henriuk".
(Viper: Well, it's not "Henriuk" It's Chenrik, but the ik part has a slight u-ish sound to it. It's hard to explain, but it's like the ih and the ooh get merged, but it's more ih, just with a slight hint of the U sound...like i said, hard to explain, lol... this is an interesting convo we're having in your post...hmmm...)
EDIT4: It's also hard for me to explain things that are completely natural in my case. Let's stop at Henry with short K xD. And now, I ask - where is the C-C-Combo Breaker when we need him?!
(Captain Falcon: FAAALCONNN PUUUUNCH! FALCON KIICK!)
EDIT5: HADOUKEN! SHORYUKEN!
