I've recently finished the Doom series. It was my first time through all three without cheating, and I've been playing the Doom games since they first came out!
Doom 2 Map30 is freaking hard if you don't use your powerups correctly. Or at all. Especially when using a controller to play, not a keyboard and mouse.
Anyway, currently playing through Quake 2 (Almost done) and 4 (About halfway done).
i reckon ul prob like borderlands, deff get ur hands on it lol. the main thing i like is that head shots = crits, so grinding can be quick and easy if ur good, or slow and grindy if ur bad, quests are fun and there are waypoints so it tells u exactly where to go, no more spending hours looking for the something(*cough* morrowind *cough*), dialogue is amusing.
if enough people can get it, we should make it a forum game Dx, and group using hamachi. twould be fun.
i also bought a ps2, any rpg reccomendations(thats all im really looking at playing), atm im trying to get my hands on KH and star ocean 2, as many shin megami tensi games and i might aswell get the FF's.

For PS2 recommendations...definitely get both the KH's. Heck, all three because they released Re:Chain of Memories over there too, so y'know...lucky Americans...
Ahem.
Also, try the Ratchet and Clank series. Oooh, and Jak and Daxter. Ahh, Star Ocean! My personal favourite is the third one, but it takes a while to get into and some people may not find it entirely to their liking... Still, if you're willing to give an RPG a chance to grow on you and eventually shine, go for Star Ocean Till The End of Time. =D
And yeshy, get all the Shin Megami Tensei's. Then we can rabbit on about them when I order them. =D
Gamewise, I've been doing loads.
For PSP, I got Dissidia on the day of release and I've been playing that till my thumbs bled. Very good game and caused quite a few nerdgasms yesitdid. On DS, I got 358/2 Days, and I've been playing the shit out of that as well. For PS3...I played Uncharted 2, and I've been exploiting the 60GB's backward compatibility to battle my way through the Jak series, in anticipation for the one coming out later this month (even though it looks like pewp). Uhh...that's about it. Oh, and I finished Oblivion.

There's an online Shin Megami Tensei?! I think I came a little...
Also, I'll add you to the member's list Vippy. I don't check the user groups, only those who post here, so apologies for missing you out. But you're a big boy so you'll get over it. Or need therapy. Hehe.
In America, they re-released Chain of Memories in full 3D on PS2. So you lucky buggers get to play that whilst I'm stuck with the GBA model. I should perhaps find a way to import that game and then be able to play it...Hmm...
Nice list, Viper. I've got RaC on the way, and I saw Dragon Age in Sainsbury's for 40 spondulicks, which is good, but not good because it was on 360 and I want it on PS3 . Totally getting the God of War remakes when I have enough cash. Borrowed the first one off a mate a few years back and remember really loving it.

Yeah, I want RaC so bad. /cry. Also the God of War pack is only $40 O.O! not 60 like i thought it would be. 2 games remastered in 720p hd on the ps3 with trophies for 40 bucks.....awesome games at that....too bad I won't be able to get em for a while, damn money.
DAO is an amazing game, with 60-80 hours of gameplay per character, since the story changes by what race you choose and how you interact with the world. Amazing game it is.

I've never played any of the other games in the series, so I can't compare them, but I can give my opinion of it...
I see it as almost like a mix between Pokemon and Final Fantasy, only better than that. The fact that it's completely free (Unless you want some of the special equipment in the game, but even some of that can be found for the ingame currency, but at a high price) means that there's no reason to not download it and try it, unless, of course, you have a computer that won't handle it...
anyone know if i need a ps1 memory card to save games on the ps2(only for ps1 games of course). got no problems saving disgaea(ps2 game) but whenever i play starwars or w/e(ps1 game), keeps asking for memory card =.=

If you're playing it on a PS2 you need a PS1 memory card, yes.
PS3 uses hardrive though, which is awesome.

I just wish it had built-in slots for the cards... I hate having to lose all my old saves because I don't want to buy the thing to transfer them.

zyeah. I got the transfer thing for free, so I didn't lose anything.
Though, if you have a PS2 that supports usb sticks for memory, you can also transfer your save files to a usb stick and then to the ps3. A friend of mine did that.

Unfortunately, I don't. But then, I don't have a USB stick anyway, so it wouldn't help if I did.
