| ive known about this for a while, but ye it looks really corny, going into it as an Avatar fan im sure that i will be dissapointed. Some things are meant to stay animated and i think Avatar is one of them. theres that, and theres the fact that Aang looks like one of those kids that you want to beat up, u know how u walk down the street and think hey, i sure would like to punch that kid in the face... ye, thats the feeling i get when looking at that picture, also prince zuko is supposed to be baldish, that and hes missing his huge scar.

| Interesting, I didn't expect someone like M Night Shyamalan to make a movie based off a cartoon. I don't quite know what to think of it, especially since I've never seen any Avatar episodes before. I think it'll be interesting how this one pans out in the box office... | |

and trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W1dhqc-JBs The casting for Aang was actually one of the better ones, he actually resembled the character he was supposed to play somewhat. Perhaps they drew lots for the roles ? Somehow I feel this is going to go all "Eragon"

| TBH i reckon the trailer made it look pretty good lol, the tattoo's dont stand out too muchand im a bit miffed about that, also aang is supposed to be like... slightly tanned, and cute.... which he isnt, hes a repulsive pale kid that i would love to punch in the face(keep in mind i wanted to punch the animated Aang several times... but overall he was cool). Eragon (/spit) was (im being kind) a disaster, but with M Knight Shamamamalam directing this, it has a little respect from me, il definitely watch it with an open mind now, and maybe... if im feeling generous, il go into it without immediately comparing it to the series... maybe. | |

| One thing I hope people realize is that this is an ADAPTATION. It will NOT be 100 percelt faithful to the show. lol the thing that bothers me the most when they make a movie out of a book or a cartoon is people complaining about how its not JUST like the show. Its not meant to be. It's M. Night's interpretation of a great show made in live action.
Some things are either impossible to completely adapt in to live action, or look dumb when you try.
I saw a picture of Zuko, from what I saw (though this may have just been bad resolution, not the highest quality pic) he did seem to have his scar, though it was downplayed and not as pronounced as in the cartoon, which makes sense. Unless you had your face melted, scars don't look super intense (though there are exceptions) givin enough time.
I will admit, I don't like the look of the kid who plays Ang either, but maybe he'll suprise me when I go see the movie.
So far it looks pretty cool. From what I've seen it seems to keep alot of style and tone of the cartoon, though it will probably be a bit more serious.

I don't ask for 100%, just above 50 % Let's say I made a movie about King Arthur and decided to change it to where he is a girl space pirate from India fighting the Irish with the great sword Hinger-dinger. Only so many darn things you can change before it's not anything like the subject matter. I mean good lord, they could at least get a cast that somewhat look like the characters they play I did not see the Zuko scar myself But if they can animate a melted face on "The Dark Knight" they can make a freaking facial scar .... Ahh reminds me of that live action adaptation of - Spoiler:
DragonBall Z
