| Okay, I love lively forums, so my question here is: How does everyone think we can get more members? The only idea that comes to mind for me is to somehow make those mourning for the old LF aware of this little establishment.
Any ideas? | |

| The most efficient way would be advertise our forums on sites where you can download animes or find links to them, or watch them online, etc, just how it was with realitylapse.
Pros: *we get anime-oriented members, which ofc will fuel our anime discussions *They come by themselves, foolish ones, teehee. *We sit back, sip tea and watch them come.
Cons: *most of well-known anime websites already own their forums, which would be quite an obstacle *Someone would have to terrorize site owners to let us advertise for free.
For starter, though, we could simply mention our forums here and there, whenever there's a chance. It should all start rollin' with time.

| Don't forget that L-Factor was not just an anime site. Realitylapse was not the only site attached to LF, nor was it the first. The place started as a gaming site attached to bluelaguna.net...
We need to take advantage of that as well as the anime side.

| It's not as easy as it seems. We are advertised on Yahoo and Google atm, but only in search engine, which really doesn't do much for us. I have tried to establish a connection with owners, admins, mods, or anything of many sites with and without forums of their own, to see if we could be nice little friends, but to no avail, as these people seem to reply less often than some other site owner I know, and he responds very slowly.
Anything, though, anyone can suggest would be greatly appreciated, because, as I said, getting affiliates and buddy networks is not as easy as it may seem.

| Oooh! IDEA -get blue laguna to (for the moment only) edirect here until the original L factor is up and running -send out a memo for anyone with a facebook to "please" put the link up with a description. (doing it now =] ) Viper has a point, it wont be easy, but when has building an army ever been easy | |

| So all this time has passed, and there's been little activity still...
There is one very important thing that people seem to be missing: Activity. It doesn't help much to just have people join. We need to be active, give them stuff to talk about, a reason to stay. Right now there's only a few people posting much. Only 9 members out of 81 have more than 100 posts.
I suggest that people make at least one post every time they visit here, in order to up the activity... It's not much, but it's a step in the right direction.

| I usually drop a post now and then, but I'm more the 'fluttery' member. Of course, I keep an eye on goings on and make sure no new posts cross the line and whatnot.
As for recruitment, I'm only really part of this forum and I know for a fact that new members on random forums are usually ignored when advertising. So excuse me if I'm reluctant to do so.
If possible, anyone from L-Fac that you know about, tell them of this site. If they're not yet a member, encourage them to join.

It's not much, but it's a step in the right direction. totally agree. it's no point if we have soooooo many members but only a few of them are active i.e. post. That being said, one person at least one post per online is a good idea. start with one and the next time, maybe 2. but the problem is we need interesting topics

| The Creator's Corner and the Journals are the only thing flourishing. Even the the Anime and Manga are a lot dead than they were before. The Studio is the worst - and that is where I'd like to spend more time. Unfortunately, no one talks about songs as much as I am willing to do here. Even the Forum Games are dead. People can at least leave their comments in the Forum Games. RP Sector is flourishing as well, but my English exams are over so I want nothing to do with there . Anyway, it's just as Ryo said. Compared to the old LF, the Activity is so low. At least if you don't have anything to post about, create new threads. | |

| Lead by example? I tried. Didn't seem to do a damn bit of good. One man can do only so much. But at least I am trying. You sit here and tell us to lead by example while you choose not to.

| I try to post as much as I can, but I can't help it when I don't have much/anymore to say in each topic...
The problem is that there is few people active - and about that I can't do much on my own, as most of my friends would rather join polish forums of similar contents (not sure what was the word for it in english, it 3am and my brain refuses to think in foreign languages.)
