Real names online

The good people at Blizzard are thinking of (Not sure if they have already) requiring all forum users to display their own name online . They claim that they wish to stop trolling and flaming and all of that jazz ? Is this a good idea ? Neccesary ? Add as you see fit


Personallly I find it baffling

You know what's a good way to handle trolling ? A good staff that regulates the site . Not to mention this pretty much nukes the players privacy online .

Saw this topic on Filefront forums the other day... It isn't that bad a way to prevent the bullshit spam that you get, but it's also a major privacy issue...

Either way, I'm not part of their forums or any of their games, so I really don't give a damn.

Really? They are actually going back on it? Wow, from what I've heard, they really don't give a damn what their community wants. Guess I heard wrong?

we write their paychecks, they have to listen. Old blizzard would of listened alot faster, gutta love activision /sarcasm.

It's not like everyone's gonna boycott them for that, though. They'd still make their money, even if they didn't listen.
